Continuing Education Classes for Massage Therapists Who Refuse to Burn Out

Build a career that doesn't break your body. My NCBTMB-approved classes are designed for real therapists dealing with real challenges—chronic pain, compassion fatigue, unsustainable schedules, and the constant question: "How much longer can I keep doing this?"

Built for Real Life: Every class I teach comes from 24+ years in the treatment room and my own healing journey. I'm not teaching theory—I'm sharing what actually works when your hands hurt, your back aches, and your spirit is depleted. Whether you're preventing burnout or recovering from it, you'll find practical tools you can use immediately.

Hands-On Learning: My classes blend technique with wisdom. From Myofascial Release essentials to body mechanics that protect your career, you'll get hands-on practice, personalized guidance, and the confidence to implement what you learn the very next day. I adapt to where you are, whether you're brand new or 20 years in.

Community That Gets It: Join therapists who understand exactly what you're going through. My classes create a judgment-free space where you can be honest about your struggles, ask real questions, and connect with others who are building sustainable practices. The relationships you form here matter as much as the techniques you learn.

Founding Member Pricing: As I grow this continuing education business, you're invited to be part of something special from the ground up. Early registration and founding member discounts make these career-saving classes accessible when you need them most.

My Healing Journey - A Single Moment Can Change Everything

“You have great hands. Maybe you should be a massage therapist.”

In 1995, I took my first bodywork class—Reflexology. I had just returned from a spiritual retreat where, during a break, we were asked to massage each other’s shoulders. The person I partnered with changed the trajectory of my life with that simple statement.

A few days later, back home in Montana, I heard a radio ad for a Reflexology workshop. I scraped together the money to attend, not realizing that this moment would set me on my life’s path. I was fascinated by the idea that the body had a map on the bottom of the feet, and I was amazed at how everything was connected. I knew deep in my soul—this was my calling.

Expanding My Healing Path & Embracing My Spiritual Gifts

I moved to Southern California and worked as a Reflexologist at my mom’s holistic healing center. She encouraged me to expand my skills and enrolled me at the Santa Barbara School of Intuitive Massage.

But I was terrified of the intuitive part.

I had been raised in a strict religious environment that taught me intuition was evil and wrong. The idea of tapping into my own inner knowing felt dangerous, even though something deep inside me whispered otherwise. When the school held a weekend dedicated to intuitive healing, I skipped it entirely.

At the time, my world was still shaped by fear-based teachings, and I wasn’t ready to step into my spiritual gifts. But the pull toward energy, intuition, and deeper healing never went away. It was always there, waiting for me.

Even now, after years of training, healing, and helping others, I still have moments of doubt. I wonder how my teachings and healings will be received, judged, or even dismissed. I worry that people won’t understand what I do. My own husband is a non-believer—he has his own ideas about my work, and sometimes his comments remind me that he hasn’t fully embraced what I do. But instead of questioning myself, I continue to educate him.

Because here’s what I know for sure:

If everything I do comes with the intention of love, how can it be wrong?

Becoming a Goddess

At one point, I found myself back in Montana, living with a friend I had met years before in Sheridan. Even though I had a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management and had taken reflexology and beginner massage classes, the only jobs I had been able to land were dishwasher, pizza maker, and lawn mower.

But rather than get down on myself for working in entry-level positions, I reframed my experience. I started calling myself the Dish Goddess, the Pizza Goddess, and the Estate Manicurist. And something interesting happened—people started calling me Goddess Wendy.

Then, they started giving me books about Goddesses and how to live like one. That led me to research mythology, divine feminine wisdom, and how different Goddesses teach us how to live our lives.

I embraced the Goddess mindset—not about expensive material things, but about treating myself like a Goddess in everyday moments. I realized that we all deserve to feel like VIPs in our own lives, to feel cherished, worthy, and divine in even the simplest scenarios. This shift in perspective shaped how I live—and how I guide others on their healing journey.

Returning to My Healing Career

After completing my massage program in California, I moved to New York to continue my healing career. However, in New York, massage therapists had to complete 1,000 hours of clinical training and pass the state board exam. The process was delayed because I had defaulted on my student loans. I spent a full year making on-time payments before I could qualify for a new loan and finally enroll in massage school.

I drove over an hour every day from New York to Connecticut, where I trained in anatomy, physiology, neurology, pathology, and Eastern healing philosophies. I graduated in 2000 and passed the New York state licensure exam.

The Myofascial Awakening

My first job was at a fitness club, where a client asked if I knew how to do Myofascial Release. We had been briefly introduced to the technique in school, so I said yes. But as I worked on her, she suddenly stopped me and said, "You don’t know what you’re doing. You need to learn this properly.”

Because of her, I found my first Myofascial Release workshop—an experience that completely changed how I approached healing.

I don’t know who she was or where she is now, but I often think about how people come into our lives, sometimes just for a brief moment, to guide us, challenge us, or give us the nudge we need to grow.

I’m so thankful she found her voice that day.

What if she had kept silent? What if she had just left a bad review instead? My path might have been completely different. Instead, her words led me to a deeper understanding of the body—one that allows me to truly
listen, feel, and help others heal.

A Personal Healing Crisis

A year into my career, I suffered a horse accident and broke my arm. When it was time for physical therapy, I specifically chose one of my Myofascial Release instructors to be my therapist.

During one of our sessions, I suddenly smelled skunk.

The therapist told me, “Skunk is a warning. It means something terrible.” That night, I journaled about it—and my childhood trauma surfaced.

For the first time, I
remembered the abuse I had endured at the hands of my babysitter. The memories had been so horrific that I had completely blocked them out of my consciousness. I had been told that if I ever spoke of what she did, she would kill my parents.

This moment changed my life.

Since then, I have been
actively healing myself, using Myofascial Release, talk therapy, hypnosis, Akashic Records, and Pendulum Alchemy to clear the trauma, restore my body, and reclaim my power.

Returning Home & Stepping Into My Gifts

In 2007, I moved back to Grand Haven, Michigan. Michigan had just begun requiring massage licenses, and I was grandfathered in with my New York license.

Then, in
2020, I was introduced to Pendulum Alchemy, and it became the missing piece in my healing work.

We are multidimensional beings.

Massage works with the physical body.

Myofascial Release works with multiple dimensions of healing.

Pendulum Alchemy works with the spiritual and energetic body.

I discovered that when I started sessions by balancing the energy first, clients would say things like:
"That is the most relaxed I’ve ever been in my life."
