We Never Regret Taking Care of Ourselves
We Never Regret Taking Care of Ourselves
“No one ever says, I’m sorry I went to yoga.”
That’s what the yoga instructor said after class today, right after I thanked her for leading exactly what my body needed.
She shared that a friend once told her she has the best job — because no one ever regrets going to yoga. People are always thankful they took the time for themselves. They always feel better afterward.
She then said the same thing is true about massage therapy.
And she’s right.
No one ever says, I wish I hadn’t done that.
No one regrets taking care of themselves.
People are always thankful.
What I took from that conversation was simple.
We always feel good about ourselves when we take care of ourselves.
Not because we fixed something.
Not because we pushed through.
But because we chose ourselves.
That’s the intention behind Self-Focused Saturday.
It’s a chance to slow down and learn how to take care of your body — so you don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted or hurting to listen.
If your body has been asking for attention, this is your invitation.
